Summary
Our client is seeking a Senior Engineer to independently lead and direct process optimization strategies and troubleshoot operational issues in a manufacturing, pilot plant, or capital projects environment. This role requires applying advanced engineering principles to system modifications, process improvements, and capital projects while developing and analyzing data to drive decision-making.
Educational & Software Requirements
Candidates must meet one of the following:
✔ Doctorate degree in Engineering OR
✔ Master’s degree with 3 years of Engineering experience OR
✔ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5 years of Engineering experience
Preferred Educational Background
✅ Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering
Preferred Qualifications
✔ Experience in technical reports, process investigations (deviations, complaints, and CAPA), and inspection technology
✔ Working knowledge of pharmaceutical/biotech processes
✔ Familiarity with validation processes and documentation in a highly regulated environment
✔ Strong understanding of GLPs and GMPs
✔ Ability to operate specialized laboratory equipment and computers
✔ Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to develop technical solutions
✔ Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities
General
🔹 Lead complex projects requiring the development of new or improved engineering techniques
🔹 Develop engineering policies and procedures that impact multiple organizational units
🔹 Supervise and coordinate the work of engineers, associates, and technicians
🔹 Serve as an engineering technology specialist within a specific area of expertise
🔹 Apply engineering knowledge across multiple disciplines to solve highly complex issues
Design Engineering
🔹 Develop technical solutions to complex engineering problems
🔹 Collaborate with research, manufacturing, process development, utilities, facilities, quality assurance, and validation teams to define system requirements
🔹 Work with project managers to ensure designs and engineering projects meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements
🔹 Coordinate with consultants, architects, and engineering firms to develop standardized design documents
🔹 Develop departmental or project budgets encompassing multiple disciplines
