Summary
As a Sr. Engineer, you will independently lead and execute process optimization strategies, troubleshoot operational issues, and manage projects in a highly regulated manufacturing, pilot plant, or capital projects environment. You will apply advanced engineering principles to design and implement major system modifications and process enhancements, presenting results for complex operational challenges or engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
General Functions
- Lead complex or novel assignments requiring innovative engineering techniques.
- Develop engineering policies and procedures affecting multiple organizational units.
- Supervise and review work of engineers, associates, or technicians on a project or ongoing basis.
- Employ advanced engineering techniques within your area of expertise and beyond.
- Act as a recognized specialist in at least one engineering technology area.
- Develop and manage budgets for departmental or multi-disciplinary projects.
- Plan and conduct projects using mature engineering knowledge and practices.
Design Engineering Functions
- Develop innovative technical solutions for complex problems.
- Collaborate with research, manufacturing, utilities, facilities, QA, and validation teams to define requirements for system and facility modifications.
- Coordinate with consultants, architects, and engineering firms to standardize design documentation.
- Manage design and engineering projects within schedule, budget, and quality parameters.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in equipment characterization and qualification (FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, PQ).
- Proficiency in developing and managing URS, FS, and DS documentation.
- Expertise in GDP compliance within regulated environments.
- Knowledge of packaging processes.
- Project management experience.
- Familiarity with validation processes and regulated documentation requirements.
- Ability to interpret GLPs and GMPs and apply engineering science in production.
- Advanced skills in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical reporting.
- Competence in financial analysis tools, project management, and vendor/contractor oversight.

- Proficiency in technical writing, validation protocol execution, and reporting.
- Expertise in project scheduling, facilitation, and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, lead teams, and collaborate across disciplines.
Education Requirements
- Doctorate degree OR
- Master’s degree and 3 years of engineering experience OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 5 years of engineering experience.
- Fields of study include Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
