Summary of the Opportunity

This role involves independently leading efforts to optimize processes, troubleshoot operational issues, and manage characterization and validation projects. The Sr. Engineer will apply advanced engineering principles to design and implement major system modifications, analyze results, and deliver solutions for projects of significant scope and complexity.

Educational and Experience Requirements

• Doctorate Degree or
• Master’s Degree with 3 years of engineering experience, or
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 5 years of engineering experience.
• Preferred Disciplines: Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience with URS, DS, and equipment risk assessments.
2. Expertise in characterization and validation processes, including:

• Development, execution, and reporting of characterization and validation protocols.

1. Device assembly and packaging equipment validation experience.
2. Working knowledge of pharmaceutical/biotech processes.
3. Familiarity with validation processes and documentation in a regulated environment.
4. Strong understanding of GLPs and GMPs.

Primary Responsibilities

General Engineering Functions:

• Execute complex assignments requiring innovative techniques and solutions.
• Develop engineering policies and procedures affecting multiple departments.
• Supervise and coordinate engineers, associates, and technicians on projects.
• Serve as a recognized engineering technology specialist, determining methodologies.
• Apply advanced engineering knowledge to a broad range of assignments.

Design Engineering Functions:

• Develop innovative solutions to complex technical problems.
• Collaborate with departments like manufacturing, QA, and validation to establish system requirements and recommendations.
• Partner with project managers to ensure design projects meet quality, budget, and schedule constraints.
• Coordinate consultants, architects, and engineering firms to develop standard design documents.
• Manage project budgets and track progress across multiple disciplines.
