Shift: Monday–Friday, 3 PM–11:30 PM

Duration: 6 months

This opportunity is offered through a contract with ProQuality Network. The role requires relocation to Winchester, KY, with no relocation expenses covered. Position Overview

The QC Analytical Chemist is an entry-level position ideal for individuals with a strong understanding of scientific principles who are eager to apply their knowledge in an analytical laboratory environment. This hands-on role involves performing quality testing for raw materials, in-process products, finished goods, stability samples, and cleaning validation analysis. It requires proficiency in analytical techniques, data analysis, record-keeping, and report writing.


Key Responsibilities


Analytical Testing:

  • Conduct high-quality analytical testing following USP/NF/EP/JP/FCC guidelines or customer-supplied protocols.
  • Perform testing such as Dissolution, Titration, Polarimetry, Loss on Drying, Viscosity, Residue on Ignition, Heavy Metal Content, FTIR, HPLC, and GC.


Documentation and Communication:

  • Maintain accurate and detailed written records of all analyses performed.
  • Interpret analytical results effectively and communicate findings clearly.
  • Perform peer reviews of analytical testing and associated documentation.


Laboratory Operations:

  • Schedule daily tasks efficiently to meet project deadlines.
  • Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instruments.
  • Ensure the laboratory operates in a clean, safe, and organized manner.


Safety and Compliance:

  • Follow laboratory safety protocols and chemical hygiene practices.
  • Become proficient in standard operating procedures (SOPs) and test methods.


Collaboration and Process Improvement:

  • Work collaboratively in a "flow-to-the-work" team environment.
  • Write and update SOPs as needed.


Essential Skills and Experience


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or Life Sciences (Chemistry or Biology preferred).


Experience:

  • 0–5 years in a Quality, Laboratory, Clinical, or Chemical Manufacturing role (including internships or co-op experiences).
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred.


Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficiency in analytical testing and familiarity with laboratory equipment.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently and maintain accuracy under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory safety and chemical handling.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Capability to perform analytical testing while standing for extended periods.
