DESCRIPTION
As a Process Development Scientist, you will conceive, design, implement, and execute specific scientific experiments to contribute to project goals. Under general guidance, you will:
- Design, execute, and interpret experimental strategies
- Provide input to generate robust and reliable data
- Ensure studies comply with protocols and applicable guidelines and regulations
- Analyze and interpret data, assessing its impact on projects
- Stay current in your field of expertise and monitor relevant literature and technology developments
- Introduce advanced scientific methods and develop new protocols
- Represent the department on project teams
- Initiate productive collaborations within and outside the company
- Advise others in experimental design and data interpretation
- Independently author scientific reports, summary documents, complex regulatory documents, invention disclosure submissions, and/or patents
- Participate in the external scientific community
- Lead department-wide support efforts such as safety, recruiting, and committees
- Develop supervisory and mentoring skills
- Follow timelines for project completion
Educational/Software Requirements:
π Doctorate degree
π Masterβs degree with 5 years of scientific experience
π Bachelorβs degree with 6 years of scientific experience
π Bachelorβs degree in science, preferably engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience at Amgen or any inspection manufacturing area
- Validation and characterization process experience and development of supporting documentation
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or other improvement methodologies
