Summary
Our client, a global leader in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, is seeking a Process Development Scientist to join their team in Juncos, PR. This role is ideal for a highly motivated and technically skilled individual who thrives in a collaborative and regulated environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and executing scientific experiments, interpreting data, and contributing to the successful development of robust and reliable processes. The position requires hands-on experience, advanced problem-solving skills, and strong knowledge of scientific methods and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and execute scientific experiments under general guidance.
- Develop experimental strategies and interpret data to support project goals.
- Contribute to process improvements by generating reliable and accurate data.
- Ensure compliance with protocols, cGMP, and applicable regulations.
- Analyze and interpret data; assess impact on ongoing or future projects.
- Keep current with relevant scientific literature and technological advancements.
- Develop novel protocols and introduce advanced scientific methods when needed.
- Represent the department on project teams under supervision.
- Collaborate across departments and contribute to cross-functional initiatives.
- Independently author scientific reports, technical summaries, and regulatory documents.
- Participate in internal and external scientific communities and forums.
- Support department-wide initiatives such as safety, recruitment, and mentoring.
- Develop and maintain project timelines and deliverables.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate degree, OR
- Master’s degree with 5 years of relevant scientific experience, OR
- Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of relevant scientific experience.
- Preferred educational background in Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Inspection Development processes.
- Basic knowledge of statistics using Minitab, JMP, or similar software.
- Strong Project Management capabilities.
- Proficient in protocol and report development.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Strong focus on Quality and Compliance.

- Proven laboratory and technical writing skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication (English and Spanish).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
