Title: Laboratory Chemist Technician (Medical Devices)
Location: North of Puerto Rico (Open to Puerto Rico Residents that are U.S. Citizens)
Positions: 1
Period: Approximately 6 months (Contract with ProQuality Network)
Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Laboratory Chemist Technician with strong analytical and laboratory experience to support quality control and testing activities within a regulated manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise with analytical instrumentation and a solid understanding of compendial methods and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform analytical testing and routine analysis using HPLC, UV-Vis, IR, and other laboratory instrumentation.
- Review and interpret chromatographic data in accordance with USP, EP, and internal specifications.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and laboratory documentation standards.
- Conduct instrument calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product testing, method verification, and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry (required).
- 3–5 years of laboratory experience in a regulated industry (Medical Devices preferred).
- Chemist License (highly preferred).
- Proficiency in Chromatography and Empower system.
- Strong knowledge of USP, EP, and related compendial requirements.
