Under general supervision, this role involves process optimization, troubleshooting operational challenges, and supporting capital projects. You will apply engineering principles to system modifications, experiments, and project designs while interpreting results for operations or minor-scope engineering projects.
🎓 Educational Requirements:
- Master’s degree OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 2 years of engineering experience
Preferred Fields:
- Chemical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
✨ Preferred Qualifications:
- ✅ Experience in GMP-related fields (manufacturing or engineering operations)
- ✅ Ability to resolve equipment-related problems using technical analysis and propose solutions
- ✅ Understanding of control systems (input, output, and controls)
- ✅ Familiarity with drug substance/API operations
- ✅ Preferred experience in:
- Equipment start-up and troubleshooting
- PLC systems
- Manufacturing equipment (valves, pumps, utility systems)
🛠 Skills & Knowledge:
- Excellent self-learning skills and leveraging technology effectively
- Familiarity with:
- Pharmaceutical/biotech processes
- Validation processes
- Documentation in regulated environments
- GLPs and GMPs
- Ability to:
- Operate specialized lab equipment and computers
- Apply engineering science to production processes
- Solve technical problems of limited scope

🔧 Key Functions:
Operations Engineering:
- Serve as a technical expert on equipment or systems for troubleshooting operations.
- Actively assist in daily operations to meet schedules or resolve complex problems.
- Audit operational performance and compliance for moderate-complexity systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to recommend system modifications.
Design Engineering:
- Support project managers in design, engineering, and construction projects within schedules and budgets.
- Work with consultants and engineering firms to develop design documents.
- Critique equipment modification quotes and generate project cost estimates and schedules.
Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
